Aaron McKenna eyes world title glory in Dublin
The unbeaten Irishman faces Etinosa Oliha for the vacant IBF middleweight crown.

Aaron McKenna will step into the ring this Saturday against Etinosa Oliha for the vacant IBF middleweight world title. Aaron McKenna has not suffered a single defeat since his professional debut at age 18, and he is confident that his hard work over the past several years will pay off this Saturday. With a record of 20-0, including 10 knockouts, he has truly earned this title shot. He says he will definitely become world champion on Saturday and considers himself the best boxer in the division.
"I believe I'm the best middleweight in the world. I've been saying it for years. I'm a very universal fighter, I can fight orthodox, southpaw on the front foot or back foot. That's stuff he's not used to so I'm going in there to take him to the trenches"
he said.
Aaron McKenna also shows great appreciation for his hometown, as everyone there is cheering him on loudly ahead of his upcoming world title fight.
He is determined to bring the title back to his hometown of Monaghan to give something back to everyone.
However, regardless of the outcome, Saturday’s fight promises to be just the beginning of his already impressive career. Aaron McKenna is 27 years old and will likely have several more opportunities to win a title even after Saturday’s fight. Nevertheless, a victory would, of course, be his greatest success to date and would open up many new possibilities. It remains to be seen whether Aaron McKenna can already add the belt to his career. But it would be an absolute success for him.
I think Aaron McKenna has really earned this fight. He has proven himself over several years and is one of the best fighters in the division. However, Etinosa Oliha is also a really tough challenge for him; still, it wouldn't be a surprise if Aaron McKenna lives up to his promise and becomes world champion on Saturday.
