Adrien Broner calls out Ryan Garcia for title fight

Broner says Garcia owes him and insists their fight would be the biggest payday.

The former four-division world champion, Adrien Broner, has now publicly challenged WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia. Adrien Broner is very confident that he has a realistic chance of winning, and he believes this fight would attract significantly more attention than Ryan Garcia's other options.

“I want to fight you. We can fight next, I know you're getting nice fights, but you ain’t going to get as much money as you will fighting me. You’re about that money, right? Fight me. I’ll take your belt. Do he got a belt? Whatever he got, I’ll take it.”

Adrien Broner said on social media.

Later in the conversation, he explained a bit about his reasons for being so determined to face Ryan Garcia. He explained that the two had a personal relationship in which Adrien Broner was always there for Ryan Garcia in times of need. However, according to him, this was never reciprocated. He even says that Ryan Garcia actively chose not to reciprocate.

“If you felt that way about me, you would have came and picked me up. You had the money, right? You didn’t come and pick me up.”

Adrien Broner said at the end.

By the way, Adrien Broner last stepped into the ring in 2025, and since then has only challenged big names. He’s probably doing this to give his career another boost. It remains to be seen whether Ryan Garcia is the right opponent for that. But Adrien Broner makes it clear that he wants to fight for something big right away and doesn’t want a warm-up opponent.

In my opinion, that's a very interesting challenge. But I don't think Ryan Garcia will take it up, given his current plans for the future. If he does, though, it could be a very exciting matchup.
