After Stirling loss, Błachowicz wants Whittaker
The former UFC champion wants a quick return after his defeat to Navajo Stirling.

Jan Błachowicz is determined to bounce back after his recent UFC loss and has already revealed who he wants to face next.
Jan Błachowicz faced Navajo Stirling in the main event of UFC Belgrade. Stirling had accepted the fight with less than three weeks’ preparation time, having defeated Ion Cutelaba just 40 days earlier. He also emerged victorious against Jan Błachowicz, and the fight lasted less than three minutes.
Following this loss, Jan Błachowicz is eager to bounce back immediately.
Robert Whittaker had already been mentioned as a potential opponent. He is Navajo Stirling’s teammate and recently posted on social media that he would have been interested in a fight against Jan Błachowicz had he not lost.
Nevertheless, Jan Błachowicz has now publicly challenged him on X.
“Hey, [Robert Whittaker]! Let’s turn your words into action”
he posted.
Robert Whittaker made his light heavyweight debut last month after two losses. There, he knocked out Nikita Krylov at UFC 329, and is now ranked No. 12 in the UFC meta rankings. Jan Błachowicz, meanwhile, is still ranked No. 9, so a fight between them would certainly make sense. Especially from Jan Błachowicz’s perspective, since he’s not on a good streak right now. Out of his last five fights, he’s lost three and had two draws. So it’s time for him to prove himself again, and he probably thinks the same. Hopefully, he’ll get the chance to do so in the near future.
In my opinion, a fight between the two would make perfect sense. Robert Whittaker needs another win to truly establish himself in the division, and Jan Błachowicz desperately needs another win to regain his confidence. That’s why I think this fight makes perfect sense. Plus, it would be an exciting fight since both are very experienced fighters.
