Alex Pereira teases major announcement for today
Pereira hints at next move after failed heavyweight title bid

All fans who are really impressed by Alex Pereira can probably look forward to something big. He’s been teasing big news for weeks now, raising hopes that he’ll return to the Octagon soon after his attempt to become the promotion’s first triple champion fell through. At the UFC White House event, he was stopped by Ciryl Gane via TKO, who thereby won the interim heavyweight title. Since Tom Aspinall is still unable to fight, Ciryl Gane will now have the chance to compete for the undisputed title in the near future.
Although Alex Pereira tried to secure a quick rematch following this news, even his allegations that Ciryl Gane struck him multiple times on the back of the head weren’t enough to make it happen. Ciryl Gane will now face Josh Hokit at the UFC 334 event. But it seems we won’t have to wait much longer for Alex Pereira either. Yesterday, he posted a message on social media where he simply wrote:
"Tomorrow“
So we might get an update later today on what’s next for him. It’ll probably be a title fight, which could put him back in title contention with a win. In the past, he’s often made it clear that he’ll keep pursuing his goal and is determined to become champion. Who do you think his opponent might be?
I hope he’s found a matchup that can bring him back to the top. I also think he definitely has what it takes to win the title, and I’d be happy if he got another chance. What do you think?
