Alex Pereira questions Ciryl Gane's record

Alex Pereira won't stop targeting Ciryl Gane

Alex Pereira won't stop trash-talking Ciryl Gane.

Ciryl Gane is expected to be promoted to undisputed champion after Tom Aspinall vacated the UFC heavyweight title. Ciryl Gane currently holds the interim title, which he won against Alex Pereira at UFC 250. Now he no longer has to chase a title fight that was constantly delayed due to Tom Aspinall’s injury.

Alex Pereira, however, is now seeking a rematch against Ciryl Gane and recently took to social media to question the champion’s stats. On Instagram, Alex Pereira shared a photo that appears to disparage Ciryl Gane’s record, with the caption “champion” and three laughing emojis. The post referred to Ciryl Gane’s previous losses in heavyweight title fights against Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones. Furthermore, his victory over Alex Pereira is also being called into question, as many claim he was struck on the back of the head quite frequently.

This is a rather heated issue that constantly runs through the UFC heavyweight division. It will be interesting to see if Ciryl Gane will actually be promoted to titleholder, and if Alex Pereira will be the one to face him next.
