Anthony Joshua Closes Businesses to Chase Heavyweight Glory Again

The former champion says outside ventures distracted him from boxing as he prepares for his comeback and targets another world title.

Anthony Joshua spoke in an interview about how his social activities outside of boxing have limited him, and what the future holds.

After winning the heavyweight title, he became a major name in the sport and gradually began investing more and more in social projects outside the ring. Looking back, he says he lost a lot of his focus as a result and wants to approach things differently in the future.

“My attention, I now admit, was being dragged away from the sport”

he said.

However, in an interview, he has now confirmed that he has closed all his businesses in order to refocus entirely on boxing. Anthony Joshua also added that boxing is the most successful business of all, and that he wants to devote all his energy to it.

This focus is particularly evident right now, ahead of his fight against Kristian Prenga.

“I want to perform. I want to win. I want to fight Fury I,’ve got an obligation to my fans."

he said.

So Anthony Joshua seems to be hungry again and wants more, and that's exactly what you'd expect from him. We'll see how far that hunger takes him.

I think that makes the story surrounding the title very interesting, too. We really have a lot of big names who are all refocusing on the title following Oleksandr Usyk's departure. I think the division is heading in a strong direction right now.
