Carlos Adames signs multi-fight deal with Zuffa Boxing

Carlos Adames has signed a new contract with Zuffa Boxing for multiple bouts. With this move, the promotion secures the current WBC world middleweight champion.

The 32-year-old could be put to the test once again under Zuffa. He has already defended his title three times, and who knows what fights Zuffa has planned for him. Carlos Adames is ready for the challenge, however, and said:

“I’m ready to face the best fighters in the world on the biggest stage”

However, it may still be a little while before this happens. The WBC has ordered a mandatory defense against Meiirim Nursultanov, which is expected to take place on September 24. Financial details or further information have not yet been released, but it’s quite possible that negotiations are already underway. With Carlos Adames, Zuffa has once again made a strong signing. This expands their middleweight roster, which already includes Denzel Bentley, among others. A direct matchup hasn’t been announced yet, but it could very well happen in the future. What do you think?
