Chris Eubank Jr. faces questions ahead of return

Chris Eubank Jr. is back on the punching bag, but the latest videos are generating more negative than positive reactions. Before his return to the ring, it seems he still has a lot of work ahead of him, as he has visibly bulked up, especially around his midsection, which has disappointed many, since he doesn’t give the impression that he’s ready for a world-class bout. At 37 years old, he can no longer rely solely on his name. His next fight will have to show whether he can still compete at 160 or 168 pounds.

The biggest concern doesn’t come out of nowhere. Last November, Conor Benn completely outboxed him, and Chris Eubank Jr. was knocked down twice in the twelfth round. Now it’s crucial for Chris Eubank Jr. to prove that he can handle such a defeat, both physically and mentally.

Unfortunately, the latest video tends to cast doubt on that. His name, however, could actually be a slight advantage here, since, even though he’s not in top form, he might have the chance to get a really good fight where Chris Eubank Jr. could prove himself once again. The only question is whether he’s still physically up to it, but we won’t be able to answer that until we see him in the ring. What do you think would be a good option for him?

I think he needs an opponent who will really test him, but who isn't quite at the very top. After all, despite his age, he doesn't have to risk everything right away, he can still try to make it back into the top ranks. Of course, he shouldn't be looking for a subpar opponent to build up his form; the main thing is that it's not one of the world's best.
