Conor Benn enters Ryan Garcia fight with strong mindset
Conor Benn embraces his underdog role ahead of his welterweight title fight against Ryan Garcia.

Conor Benn and Sky Sports conducted an interview ahead of his upcoming welterweight world title fight against Ryan Garcia on September 12, during which some interesting details came to light.
Regarding his preparation, he said he feels completely ready and has always given 110% in training. According to his own statements, his motivation comes solely from within, as he wants to prove to himself that he can be among the best boxers in the world. Nevertheless, Conor Benn will enter this fight as the underdog. He says, however, that he isn’t really fazed by this and actually enjoys this role.
“I like being the underdog, I think you perform at your best. You’re just chomping at the bit to get in there and just shock the world. This is everything I’ve dreamed of and worked hard for, so I'm leaving no stone unturned and just making sure I give myself every possible chance in coming out victorious”
he said.
However, he also said that he would be very happy if this fight were his last in this weight class. This is his first fight back at welterweight in four years, and he’s happy about that, too.
So Conor Benn will approach this fight with a strong mindset. When asked if Ryan Garcia’s behavior is bothering him in any way, Conor Benn said he won’t get drawn into those games, but will instead focus solely on doing his job and emerging victorious from this fight. So will Conor Benn leave the welterweight stage with a big exclamation point, or will it unfortunately be a disappointment for him? What do you think?
In any case, I definitely see Conor Benn as a worthy opponent for Ryan Garcia, no question about it. However, I don’t think he can win this fight. I have a lot of respect for fighters who do it to prove something to themselves, but I still believe he’ll unfortunately leave the division with a loss. What do you think?
