Dana White confirms Michael Page is leaving the UFC
Page will not receive a new contract after his latest fight

The speculation has been officially confirmed: Michael Page will no longer be under contract with the UFC. He himself had already commented on the matter, speculating that his last fight would result in him not being re-signed. This has now been officially announced by Dana White, meaning Michael Page is leaving the UFC. The reason for this isn’t poor performance, but rather his fighting style. He comes across as very uninteresting to fans and therefore doesn’t really add any value. In addition, Michael Page has frequently and publicly criticized his opponents, and the matchmaker, which has further soured the atmosphere. In his last fight, he landed only 12 actual strikes over three rounds and was even booed by fans at one point. Despite all this, he actually won the fight by unanimous decision, yet he continues to face criticism. Dana White has a clear opinion on the matter and said:
“That was his last fight on his contract. I don’t think we’re re-signing him, no. What’s the confusion? I think it’s been pretty clear that he wasn’t being re-signed, and that he would be taken out of the rankings because he’s no longer on the roster“
Michael Page hasn't commented on the decision yet. After his last fight, he was very self-critical and had already anticipated the decision. Still, he's surely a little disappointed, which makes sense. Overall, he leaves the UFC with a 5-1 record and a career record of 26-3. What do you think, was it a fair decision?
