Dana White questions whether Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua truly want to make their long-awaited mega-fight happen.

Dana White doubts Fury vs Joshua will happen

Another major figure has weighed in on the potential mega-fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. This time it was Dana White, and he, too, has his doubts. He says it takes two willing fighters to organize a fight. If even one of them has doubts, it becomes difficult.

Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua has long been considered the most anticipated fight in boxing. Both have shared the spotlight for a very long time, but have never faced each other in the ring. Many believe the two should have faced each other in the ring already, especially during their prime, but somehow it never happened. Dana White agrees. Why hasn’t a fight between them ever been organized, and even now that all doors are supposedly open, there are still too many issues surrounding it?

“Listen, this f–king saga, we’ll see how this whole thing plays out, they either want to fight or they don’t. I don’t know”

Dana White said.

He also explains that there’s still a lot of money at stake. A matchup between the two would definitely make sense for them from a commercial standpoint. Still, the UFC boss says nothing can happen if both fighters genuinely don’t want the fight.

“To make a fight, two guys have to want to fight, period. End of story. Contracts and this and that? There’s a lot of f–king money for grabs in this fight. Do you want to fight or do you not want to fight? I don’t give a s–t one way or the other. I’d be happy [if the fight was in the UK]. I don’t give a s–t. Do you want to fight or do you not want to fight?”

he said.

He also agrees with anyone who says the fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua should have taken place much earlier. He himself isn’t sure if it will still happen.

And all this even though both have successfully completed their lead-up fights. The fact is, the doors are wide open for a fight. They just need to finally come to an agreement.

I’ve started to have my doubts, too. Before the warm-up fights, I was sure a fight would be announced shortly afterward. But that was several weeks ago now, and I don’t really believe that anymore. I’m really curious to see if we’ll see anything happen. What do you think?
