Dana White eyes Davis vs Stevenson super fight

Dana White reveals talks with Gervonta Davis as Zuffa Boxing targets one of the biggest fights in boxing.

Zuffa Boxing founder Dana White is hoping that Gervonta Davis might make the move to the promotion and then face Shakur Stevenson.

Following the Zuffa Boxing 9 event in New York, Dana White commented on the possibility of a fight between Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson. He revealed that he has already held talks with Gervonta Davis, even though Shakur Stevenson has already signed a contract. Dana seems to be a big fan of Gervonta Davis and openly admits it.

“I don’t know [about booking Tank vs. Shakur], I do love Tank Davis. I’m actually a fan and we’ve talked to them. I don’t want to speak for him or whatever, but I have talked to him and I’m a fan”

said Dana White.

After Shakur Stevenson signed a multi-fight contract with Zuffa Boxing, rumors began to circulate about major matchups within the promotion. A fight between him and Gervonta Davis has long been considered a possibility.

Gervonta Davis hasn’t fought since his bout against Lamont Roach Jr. in March 2025. That’s not unusual in itself, but there are other reasons for it. Specifically, there were legal allegations against Gervonta Davis regarding domestic violence, though those were later dropped. So now, nothing stands in the way of more fights.

Since founding Zuffa Boxing, Dana White has clearly set his sights on organizing the biggest fights possible. This fight would definitely fall into that category, but it remains to be seen whether it will actually happen. For now, though, talks will certainly continue.

Personally, I think this fight could actually happen, and I’d be looking forward to it. If there are already talks between Dana White and Gervonta Davis, then the odds aren’t bad. Shakur Stevenson has also hinted several times in the past that he wants to face the biggest names, so he’d certainly be up for it. What do you think? Will this fight happen?
