Dana White speaks out on Fury-Joshua chaos

White hints at the reasons behind the ongoing dispute

UFC President Dana White has commented on what's currently happening in the bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. This statement came just as Tyson Fury accused his opponent of backing out of the fight and said he was already looking for another opponent. Dana responded:

“Tyson, thank you for all the kind words. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see what’s going on here. I’ve been saying the same thing since Bournemouth. Since we had the fight in Bournemouth, I've been saying the same thing"

Tyson Fury had previously praised Dana White for the excellent Netflix deal, while at the same time accusing the other side of blocking the fight because of the venue. White had already announced back in June that things were going to move forward. Since then, negotiations have gone completely down the drain, and there is still no venue to this day.

Netflix and TKO both prefer the fight to take place in New York, while Anthony Joshua and Eddie Hearn apparently claim they’ve already signed a contract for a fight in England. It’s an incredibly complicated situation. But the fact that Dana is now weighing in on this as well, and clearly can’t come up with a proper answer, says a lot.
