Daniel Dubois mocks Wardley after knockout win

Dubois dominates the rematch before reviving a joke from fight week.

Daniel Dubois is causing quite a stir with a humorous post on X following a very strong knockout victory over Fabio Wardley. After Daniel Dubois had already won their first bout in May, he won the rematch as well. This time, the result was much more decisive, as the first fight went 11 rounds, whereas this one lasted only 2. After the fight, Daniel Dubois said he was fully prepared for this exchange of blows and that he thinks his opponent was still feeling the effects of the first fight.

"I was prepared for a war. Whatever he did wasn't going to affect me. His punches, or anything. I was going to go right through him. I was in the zone. I refused to lose. You could see a lot of mental scars on him [from the first fight]. I just had to bring him back to that place"

After his victory, Daniel Dubois also shared a little more on social media. In a post, he wrote:

"Dabbled in it"

He's alluding to an interview with Fabio Wardley where he poked a little fun at him. Of course, Daniel Dubois can now use that perfectly to his advantage in hindsight, which is exactly what he's doing. Overall, though, it was a well-deserved victory for him, as the question makes clear. What do you think?
