Demetrious Johnson backs Holloway against McGregor
Demetrious Johnson believes Max Holloway’s activity and pressure will be the deciding factors against Conor McGregor.

Former champion Demetrious Johnson has once again shared his thoughts on the UFC 329 event on YouTube, focusing, of course, on the fight between Max Holloway and Conor McGregor. In his video, he took a closer look at 6 of the 14 fights and picked a winner for each one.
The main event, of course, took center stage: Max Holloway vs. Conor McGregor.
He picked Max Holloway as the winner of this matchup, citing Conor McGregor’s clear lack of fight experience due to his long hiatus. He says that training can’t replace actual fights because of the pressure you feel during a fight. He thinks Conor McGregor simply hasn’t been in the ring for too long and needs to get used to it again first.
"The last time Conor McGregor has fought was 2021, ladies and gentlemen. And that only lasted one round.“
“Mighty” said.
Max Holloway, on the other hand, has fought a lot in the meantime and has developed significantly. According to “Mighty,” his greatest strengths lie primarily in applying constant pressure, and that’s exactly where he sees Max Holloway’s chance. Tactically, according to Mighty, he must apply constant pressure and under no circumstances allow Conor McGregor to find his rhythm.
"I would be all over him immediately. Get on him. Cross the void. Start pumping that jab out there. Start inside kicking him. Start push kicking him. Start jumping on his knees like: ‘Hey, welcome back, fucker.’“
he said.
But that fight wasn't the only one he talked about. The other matchups he predicted are as follows:
“Mighty's” prediction is, of course, very well-founded, and his predictions, especially for the main event, do make sense. Still, for me, the excitement surrounding Conor McGregor is somehow the biggest factor. I have a feeling he can capitalize on that excitement and might even end up as the winner.
