Dricus du Plessis eyes another title shot

Former UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis hasn't ruled out the possibility that his next fight could be for a title.

The 32-year-old successfully defended his belt twice before losing it last year to Khamzat Chimaev. However, with a win over Kamaru Usman in July, he sees himself back in contention for the top spot.

“After the last fight, I just proved again that I can be the best in the world and that I will be the best in the world. Where we are at right now is continuing building on those blocks that we built before that fight. Looking at what’s next, I mean, time waits for no one"

he said.

Right now, the title picture is a little unclear. The next title fight might be Sean Strickland vs Nassourdine Imavov, but even that isn't entirely certain yet. Dricus Du Plessis wants to wait and see how all these developments play out for now, and then figure out when a title fight might be possible. He’d definitely be ready for another shot. We’ll just have to wait and see what’s next in the division, since it’s very turbulent right now. What do you think, will Dricus Du Plessis get a title shot within his next three fights?

I can definitely see him possibly being the one to fight Khamzat Chimaev for the title. I’m curious to see who he’ll face, and whether something unexpected might happen before then.
