Fury vs Joshua is finally happening
The British heavyweight rivals will finally meet on December 11

It’s official, the mega-fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is actually going to happen.
For a long time, the fight was delayed by disputes over the venue, and there was little reason to believe the two would actually end up boxing each other. But now it’s set: they will finally face off on December 11, 2026. The fight will ultimately take place in the UK after all, as Eddie Hearn firmly insisted on it. Turki Al-Alshikh has now officially confirmed this and posted:
“I can now confirm that Fury vs Joshua will be coming to the UK, as I promised British boxing fans. The time for talking is over……..”
Both boxers had actually already signed at the beginning of the year. However, the date and venue were still undecided at that point, which led to a dispute that dragged on for months. Tyson Fury publicly blamed Anthony Joshua and hinted that he is already looking for an alternative opponent.
The fight will be one of the biggest we’ve ever seen. Dana White described it pretty well. He wrote:
“For more than a decade, boxing fans have been clamoring for the heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Together, they bring 66 wins, 52 knockouts and multiple heavyweight world titles into the ring. On December 11, two of the biggest heavyweights of this generation finally collide and the winner will take a significant place in heavyweight history”
This past summer, both men fought a warm-up bout to ensure they’d be in top form for the main event. Anthony Joshua had some trouble early on, but in the end, both came out on top. Those victories kept their showdown alive. We can all be happy that everything worked out in the end, and on December 11, history will officially be made.
I’m really glad this matchup worked out after all. Anyone who’s been actively following the news knows I had serious doubts. It’s great that it’s finally happening, and I’m really excited to see who will win this fight. What do you guys think?
