Golden Boy Declares War on Zuffa Boxing!
Will the legal dispute put an end to this highly intriguing battle?

Plans for the fight between Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn seem to be getting more and more complicated. The plan was for Zuffa Boxing to officially announce the fight in the coming weeks, but Golden Boy also has a say in the matter.
Since Ryan Garcia is signed to Golden Boy and is therefore allowed to fight on DAZN, they want any potential negotiations to be stopped immediately.
“Golden Boy has not approved of or agreed to the terms of any such bout, nor has Golden Boy been involved in the negotiations of any such bout,”
Cestero, who appears to be Golden Boy's lawyer, wrote in the letter reviewed by BoxingScene.
So, without confirmation and a commitment, no deal can be made beforehand. However, it remains realistic that a fight could still be arranged through other channels.
“As much as I hate it, let’s go. Why not? Because the fighters want this fight. Ryan wants it,”
said De La Hoya. So, despite the circumstances, it doesn’t seem out of the question that Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn might end up in the ring together, which would be a very interesting fight for the boxing world.
Personally, I really hope that a fight comes together despite the difficulties. Both have quite different fighting styles, which would make the fight so exciting. Given the reach both fighters bring to the table, I think it would be good for both boxers to make the fight official.
