Haney vs Stevenson targets November 28 in Atlanta
The two camps appear to be closing in on a deal after reportedly agreeing on a 145-pound catchweight.

The long-awaited potential bout between Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney seems to be making real progress in negotiations. There have been numerous reports in recent weeks that talks are going well, but it is now close to official. Devin Haney’s father has simply revealed the date and location where the two are set to face off.
"There has been a challenge to their team to take the fight at 145 and take it on the 28th of November in Atlanta. The offer is on the table for him to fight in November“
he explained on the Tru Media podcast.
The biggest point of contention so far has probably been the weight limit, since Devin Haney initially demanded that the bout take place at 147 pounds and that there be no rehydration clause. The bout is also set to be for the WBO welterweight world title.
Shakur Stevenson, on the other hand, has so far demanded a catchweight of 144 pounds, which would make the conditions a little fairer. In the meantime, they have apparently agreed on 145 pounds. This means the fight is well on its way to becoming official very soon. At the same time, this also puts an end to speculation that Shakur Stevenson might still face Manny Pacquiao. The bout against Devin Haney is by far the more sensible matchup anyway, from a sporting perspective. What do you think of the latest developments?
I think it’s great that the two were able to agree on a new weight so quickly and that the fight is set to take place very soon. I’m really looking forward to it and am excited to see what else happens.
