Have Haney & Stevenson finally found a weight limit?
Is this a major disadvantage for Haney? Or is he being underestimated?

It finally seems that both fighters, Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson , have reached a final agreement on the fight weight. Shakur Stevenson has been calling for a 144-pound weight limit for some time now. He defended his proposal on social media.
“144 is fair for 2 champions in 2 separate weight classes, Floyd and Canelo made one of the biggest fights ever happen at a catch weight.. If yall seriously wanted the fight it would be easy to make , Yall fought Jose Ramirez at that weight 2 fights ago,”
Devin Haney , who had originally called for a fight at 147 lbs, now appears to have agreed to the proposed weight.
“If I make 144 pounds, will we fight?”
Devin Haney wrote, which Shakur Stevenson , of course, accepted immediately.
Devin Haney , who usually fights at 147 lbs, had previously seemed rather critical of the proposed weight, as he may see it as a disadvantage. However, Devin Haney has successfully fought at 144 lbs before.
In his fight against José Ramírez , he delivered one of his best performances in recent years, even though the bout was outside his usual weight class. This shows that he is capable of fighting at 144 lbs and that the disadvantage may not be as significant as some thought.
Personally, I'm really curious to see if this will actually result in a permanent contract at 144 lbs. If so, it will definitely be a super interesting fight. We've already seen Devin Haney in action at 144 lbs, and it was impressive. If he puts in a performance like that again, I think he has a good chance.
