Hearn delivers major Fury vs Joshua update
Eddie Hearn insists the long-awaited heavyweight clash is signed and cannot simply be cancelled.

Eddie Hearn has once again made an interesting statement about the long-awaited bout between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, which is making headlines once more. On Friday, Tyson Fury claimed that the fight was seriously in jeopardy after Anthony Joshua allegedly demanded more money for the bout. Hearn, who represents Anthony Joshua, remains confident, however, that the fight will take place, and says it’s too late for anyone to back out now.
"We've signed the contract, we're waiting for a date. You saw Tyson Fury shouting and screaming - there's nothing to shout and scream about, the fight's done. The fight's signed. No-one can pull out of the fight. You can't just pull out of a contract. There's no suggestion that the fight's not happening, no-one can stop this fight from happening. The only way it can stop from happening is if they actually breach the contract"
he told DAZN.
This statement from Hearn, however, has many breathing a sigh of relief once again. By now, everyone should know that Hearn and Anthony Joshua have actively pushed for the fight to take place on English soil. However, the contract was signed with different terms, which is why there were prolonged disputes. The fact that Hearn is now saying the fight will definitely take place is good news, since that was a major sticking point that could have derailed the whole thing. Of course, Anthony Joshua wants to fight in the UK, and everyone understands that, but what’s far more important is that the fight actually happens at some point. There were already so many delays back in 2021, and in the end, nothing came of it. It’s possibly the most long-awaited fight of all time, and now it’s just a matter of them finalizing it soon. There have been many times when people said, “Now it’s finally happening, the fight will be announced,” but so far, that hasn’t happened. How much longer do we have to wait? What do you think? When will the fight finally be announced?
