The British heavyweight could face a familiar rival in his comeback fight.

Hearn names Adeleye as a potential Wardley opponent

Eddie Hearn already has a few ideas about who Fabio Wardley might face next in the ring following his knockout loss to Daniel Dubois.

Fabio Wardley had actually planned to get a rematch and reclaim the title he lost earlier this year. Back then, the bout went 11 rounds and was extremely exciting;

in the rematch, the winner was the same, but the way the fight unfolded was completely different. Daniel Dubois got off to a much better and faster start and had the bout wrapped up after just three rounds. In an interview with IFL TV, Eddie Hearn singled out one name in particular that stood out clearly.

“Yep, it’s a fight that could happen. Adeleye is up for all the smoke. I think Adeleye is going to be a real problem for the heavyweight division, if we can get him firing, get him some momentum, I’m looking forward to getting him some big fights”

he said.

The two have actually faced off before. Back then, Fabio Wardley won by TKO in the seventh round. What’s certain is that he himself has already announced he’ll be back soon, so a fight against David Adeleye would definitely be an interesting option. What do you think?
