“I’m Being Underestimated” – Zayas Fires Warning at Ennis Ahead of Fight

The fight between Xander Zayas and Jaron Ennis, set to take place later this month, is heating up. On one side is Xander Zayas, who boasts a record of 23-0 (13 KOs) and is the current WBA and WBO champion at 154 pounds. Despite these titles, he feels his opponent doesn’t respect him:

“In every way. In every way necessary, every way of the word, I feel like he feels that I’m not at his level, that might be his feeling, but that’s good. Let him think that way. Everybody that has stepped in the ring with me before has thought that way, too. And 23 have tried, and 23 have failed, and he’s going to be 24.”

he told Brian Custer on his YouTube channel.

This attitude from Jaron Ennis can perhaps be explained by the fact that he is considered the clear favorite by most, and many are certain he’ll leave Brooklyn with the titles. So both fighters face a huge challenge, and the eventual winner is expected to emerge as the top contender in their division. Xander Zayas definitely wants to prove once again that he shouldn’t be underestimated, and he’s determined to make Jaron Ennis pay for it.

It looks like we’re in for a major spectacle between the two of them; we’ll just have to wait and see who ends up taking the titles home.

I just hope Jaron Ennis doesn't completely underestimate his opponent, Xander Zayas. While many see him as the favorite, too much confidence isn't a good thing either and can quickly lead to a certain arrogance that could end up being his downfall. I definitely don't want to see the fight end quickly because one of them underestimated his opponent.
