Jake Paul reveals plans for his boxing return

Jake Paul is targeting a return later this year and could face Tommy Fury in a rematch.

Jake Paul reveals plans for his boxing return

The highly controversial boxer Jake Paul remains undeterred in his plans to return, despite the serious injury he sustained in his fight against Anthony Joshua.

Just a few months after undergoing jaw surgery due to a severe jaw fracture, Jake Paul stepped back into the ring for the first time and named his next opponent. Incidentally, his doctor advised him against returning to the ring, but he remained determined and wants to finally dispel the doubts many have about him. However, his planned return has also caused some concern. Many are unsure whether it’s really a good idea to take the risk and continue fighting after suffering such a severe jaw fracture. Nevertheless, he was seen back in the ring, and his manager also confirmed that he wants to step back into the ring as early as next month. The actual fight, however, will have to wait a little longer.

"He's cleared to spar in a couple of weeks, mid-September. The goal is to have him back at the end of this year. Will it slip to January? Maybe. That's not driven by his ability to fight. That's just driven by business and schedules and venues, etc. But he will be back, and he's champing at the bit to get back in the boxing ring"

said the co-founder of MVP.

As for Jake Paul's preferred opponent, it seems Tommy Fury is at the top of his wish list.

"So it's either you wanna fight Jake, and you understand we're trying to pay you a lot of money. But it has to make business sense, or you don't. I believe Tommy wants to fight Jake, and I believe the fight will happen, but we obviously have other fighters we're talking to as well"

said his co-founder.

So it’s quite possible that we’ll see a rematch between the two.

Tommy Fury won the first bout by split decision. So a lot is still up in the air, though Jake Paul is, of course, lacking in activity right now. We’ll just have to wait and see if a rematch actually happens. The only thing that’s certain is that Jake Paul will fight again, there’s no way around it. What do you think?

I think it’s very risky of him. But in a way, I can also understand it. If he stops now, the critics will just come down even harder on him, and I wouldn’t want that either. Maybe he’ll end up regretting it, but I can understand his decision to some extent.
