Joe Joyce still has no plans to retire
Joe Joyce wants to continue fighting despite recent struggles

Joe Joyce has frequently been told in the recent past that he should finally end his career or give us updates on his future plans. He has now done just that.
Joe Joyce is now 40 years old and has lost five of his last six fights. Most recently, he lost to Artem Suslenkov in the eleventh round. He also lost by decision to Filip Hrgović last year. Joe Joyce isn’t as hard to hit as he used to be and is considered a relatively slow fighter. Many see this as yet another reason why he should retire. In an interview with talkSPORT, however, he said his career isn’t over yet.
“I would be open to having a conversation with everyone, see what’s out there, what’s about. I’m excited to get back in the ring. I had quite a tough test in Moscow. It was difficult to get a fight here in the UK, so I had to go there on rival turf. I’m excited to get back in the ring and fight someone exciting”
he said.
It does raise the question of who he can even fight against. He doesn't have a title right now, and probably won't get one in the near future. We'll just have to wait and see if, and what kind of, fight is even possible at this point.
Of course, I’d be happy if Joe Joyce could end his career on a high note, and maybe that’s exactly the motivation he needs to keep fighting. But personally, I have my doubts about whether that still makes sense. What do you think, should he keep going?
