Julian Erosa announces retirement after UFC Vegas 123
The 37-year-old featherweight wants to end his career on a high note and prioritize his family and long-term health.

Julian Erosa has announced that he will end his career after his next duel on Saturday against JeongYeong Lee, regardless of the outcome.
The 37-year-old explained in an interview with Fanatics View that his fight on October 31 will be the last of his career, regardless of the outcome. He made this decision deliberately, as he has always wanted a fixed date for his retirement to make saying goodbye easier for him. Julian Erosa has lost his last two bouts and would very much like to end his career with a win.
“I haven’t really made it a big deal, but this will be my last fight. I just wanted to give myself one more opportunity to try to get my hand raised, but I wanted to make it a date of when I was going to be done because I think the problem is, win, lose, or draw, I’m going to want to fight again”
he said.
He also emphasized that his priorities have shifted a bit since he became a father. He wants to focus on his health and take good care of his child, which is completely understandable. He made his UFC debut in 2015. His career hasn’t always been smooth sailing, which is why he was released relatively quickly; however, he returned to the UFC in 2020 and has since fought 13 times, currently standing at 10-9. What do you think of his decision?
