Justin Gaethje wants to silence Conor McGregor

after Ilia Topuria beat Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway, Gaethje sees McGregor as his ideal next opponent.

Justin Gaethje wants to silence Conor McGregor

Justin Gaethje said in an interview that he’d really like to face Conor McGregor next to shut him up. He’d even prefer that fight over a rematch against Charles Oliveira or Max Holloway. In his opinion, though, that’s mainly because both of them have already beaten him in previous title fights, and he doesn’t want to go through that again. Max Holloway knocked him out at the last second, winning the BMF title in the process, and Charles Oliveira forced Justin Gaethje to tap out. However, Ilia Topuria has defeated both of these fighters, and since we all know that Justin Gaethje beat him, that’s enough for him. Instead of facing either of these fighters, he now wants to face the former two-weight champion, Conor McGregor.

“Damn, there’s really no one. It would have been Oliveira or Holloway, but since Topuria beat them, I’m going to go ahead and justify it to myself like I got them back. So, I guess McGregor. Fun to shut him up”

He said.

Conor McGregor recently returned to East Asia after a five-year absence. He did so against Max Holloway, but unfortunately in very disappointing fashion. He injured his knee just over a minute into the fight, and the bout had to be stopped immediately. Since he now has only one fight left on his UFC contract, a title shot seems very unlikely. What do you think?
