Khabib warns: Colgan is Usman’s toughest test yet

Khabib Nurmagomedov believes Archie Colgan could be the toughest challenge of Usman Nurmagomedov’s undefeated career.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is convinced that Archie Colgan will be the biggest and toughest challenge yet for his cousin Usman Nurmagomedov.

Usman Nurmagomedov will have to defend his lightweight title against Archie Colgan tonight, and he’ll be a really tough opponent to beat.

Khabib Nurmagomedov believes, above all, that Archie Colgan’s strong wrestling skills could significantly complicate Usman Nurmagomedov’s usual ground game. Nevertheless, he is very confident and emphasizes that his cousin is well prepared for this fight.

"I think this is the toughest fight for Usman. This guy's a real deal. He knows how to wrestle. He's tough, never lost. He's the toughest challenge for Usman, I think. Of course, Usman is in incredible shape, physically, mentally, everything is there. His weight is good, mood is good, the most important. I think this is a very high-level fight. Can't wait to see this match”

Khabib Nurmagomedov told Anatomy of a Fighter.

Usman Nurmagomedov has successfully defended this title twice since his win over Paul Hughes. However, this is now the final fight of his PFL contract, which is why it could be such a pivotal moment.

Archie Colgan also brings an impressive background to the table. He has a 13-0 record and has racked up many strong victories. In addition, he is currently being trained by the reigning UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje.

So it’s going to be an incredibly exciting matchup we’ll see tonight. It’s also interesting that Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje will once again be facing off indirectly.

Who do you think will win this fight?

I’m really unsure who will ultimately come out on top. I think it’ll be a long fight that won’t be decided in the early rounds. In the end, I think Usman Nurmagomedov will win, but it could just as easily go the other way. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the fight, so feel free to leave a prediction below!
