Kristian Prenga reveals his plan against Anthony Joshua

On Saturday, Kristian Prenga nearly pulled off the biggest upset in heavyweight boxing in a long time.

Before this fight, Kristian Prenga had only fought in in 21 professional bouts. Although he won 20 of them, his opponents were generally of a limited caliber.

As a result, Kristian Prenga was considered a beatable opponent for Anthony Joshua’s comeback. That’s why the fight was seen more as a warm-up for the bout against Tyson Fury, and no one expected it to be so exciting right from the start.

The opening rounds were disastrous for Anthony Joshua, and he was knocked down twice. However, he regained his composure in the second round and turned the fight around in his favor.

Now, though, Kristian Prenga has spoken out and explained his plan.

“Yes, I trained for that. My plan was to start fast. I wanted to make everybody proud, but it’s not happened”

he said.

After the fight, he also seemed very disappointed. He had tears in his eyes and was visibly unhappy. Probably because, after the first round, he thought he could do it.

“I think I’m going to drop him, and in the second round too, but it didn’t happen”

said Kristian Prenga.

Still, he can be proud of himself. He came up with a plan and executed it perfectly. He surprised Anthony Joshua and was perhaps a little unlucky in the process. Nevertheless, he represented himself very well, and he should really be proud of himself and his performance.

I think that if you suddenly see a big opportunity in the first round, you're going to be very disappointed with the result. Kristian Prenga was simply better in the first round, and probably thought he could win. I don't think it's easy to get knocked out in the second round. Still, he should actually be very pleased with himself.
