Moses Itauma set for early 2027 comeback
Frank Warren reveals serious changes for Itauma

Frank Warren has announced that Moses Itauma will definitely return to the ring in early 2027. Moses Itauma was most recently on the verge of making a very dominant run in the heavyweight division. However, this fell short due to the biggest hurdle of his career so far, and he suffered a defeat against Filip Hrgović in his first attempt to win a world title. Moses Itauma has definitely recovered well from that bout, though, and he appears to be actively training again. Frank Warren has also announced that his comeback will definitely begin next year, albeit with a few changes.
"He's going to fight very early next year, I've spoken to him a few times. He's actually back in the gym. I'm going to sit down with the team in the next week. Now the dust is settled, we can all speak calmly and clearly. He's very disappointed. He knows what he did wrong. And as I've said from the start, there has got to be some serious changes"
he said.
Moses Itauma is now indeed facing some questions if he wants to take another step forward despite his first loss. After his last loss, there were some criticisms, such as that he absolutely should part ways with his coach, or that he simply lacks experience, and so on. For many, however, it remains clear that he definitely has the potential to dominate the division, provided he learns from his mistakes. If he manages to do that and works on his conditioning, then nothing will stand in his way.
I’m looking forward to his comeback, but at the same time, I’m a little worried. I think Moses Itauma is really cool, and I would have been happy to see him win a title so early on. I just hope he isn’t too intimidated by the bigger names he’s up against. I hope he finds his way back on track.
