Pereira expects Pavlovich to attack aggressively
Alex Pereira believes Sergei Pavlovich will rely on his knockout power before potentially turning to wrestling.

Alex Pereira expects his opponent, Sergei Pavlovich, to come out very aggressively in their next bout.
The two will face off on December 12 in the co-main event of UFC 335. While Alex Pereira expects his opponent to start out very aggressively, he also doesn’t rule out the possibility that he might quickly resort to wrestling if his strikes don’t achieve what he had planned. In an interview with Connect Cast, Alex Pereira explains that Sergei Pavlovich will likely first try to use his strength to knock him out, and only resort to wrestling once he realizes that hasn’t worked.
“I think against me, maybe he might think, ‘I’m going to unleash the machine gun and knock this guy out. I don't know what happens, but he might unleash the machine gun, and if he can’t land his shots, he might try to wrestle me to wear me out. But I’m getting ready; I’m excited about the training and everything I’ve been doing with the team”
he said.
Sergei Pavlovich proved his strength in his last bout, where he defeated Tallison Teixeira by TKO after 39 seconds. Alex Pereira, on the other hand, suffered a loss to Ciryl Gane in his last fight at Freedom 250 and, understandably, is now desperate to win this one. We’ll see if he can pull it off, but one thing is certain: it’s shaping up to be a very good fight.
