Tyson Fury confirms next fight against Mariusz Wach
The "Gypsy King" will face veteran Mariusz Wach in Thailand as both he and Anthony Joshua continue preparing for their expected mega-fight later this year.

Tyson Fury has now set his next opponent, and as expected, it’s not Anthony Joshua.
Tyson Fury will face former heavyweight world title challenger Mariusz Wach next month. This will be Tyson Fury’s second fight of the year. After a 16-month hiatus, he returned to the ring in April and defeated Arslanbek Makhmudov.
Now Tyson Fury is looking to secure a victory against Mariusz Wach as well, as he views 2026 as a milestone for himself.
"2026 is a landmark year for me in boxing, and I'm excited to be able to bring this event to Pattaya, a part of the world that is special to me"
By “landmark,” he’s probably also referring to the highly anticipated mega-fight with Anthony Joshua, which is set to take place in the second half of 2026. Both fighters are currently using this time to find warm-up opponents so they can go into the bout fully prepared. Anthony Joshua, in fact, already has a confirmed opponent for that fight. On July 25, he’ll face Kristian Prenga, and he, too, is pursuing the same goal as Tyson Fury: to successfully win the fight.
Although the careers of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have run almost parallel to each other for years, they have never faced each other in the ring until now. That’s why it’s incredibly important for both of them to build up their confidence again and win their upcoming fights. Whether they’ll both succeed, and whether the fight will be officially confirmed afterward, remains to be seen. It is, however, to be expected.
Tyson Fury is now in a similar situation to Anthony Joshua. Their opponents are roughly on the same level, but they shouldn't be underestimated. Still, I think both will come out of the fight unscathed, and I hope that nothing will stand in the way of the superfight after that.
