Tyson Fury stops Wach, sends Joshua warning
Fury dominated Mariusz Wach before a seventh-round TKO, but two late punches sparked fresh debate ahead of a potential showdown with Anthony Joshua.

Tyson Fury lived up to expectations and defeated Mariusz Wach by TKO in the 7th round.
Tyson Fury controlled the fight from the start. He immediately began throwing jabs and constantly varied his approach. He was also the one who clearly dictated the pace and the distance. As a result, Mariusz Wach had clear trouble getting within striking range at all. Tyson Fury, however, continued to land blows consistently without ever really putting himself in danger.
In the middle rounds, Tyson Fury then significantly increased the pace once again. However, Mariusz Wach took a lot of punishment. Although he took some hard shots, he didn’t back down a single step.
That’s why he was able to pull off another surprise in the 7th round. Mariusz Wach landed two hard blows to Tyson Fury’s face and capitalized on a moment of inattention by Tyson Fury. However, this brief shock caused Tyson Fury to refocus, and from that point on, he dominated the round once again.
The referee then called for the doctor to examine him. After the examination, he stopped the fight and declared Tyson Fury the winner.
Following the fight, the conversation naturally turned to tonight’s bout between Anthony Joshua and Kristian Prenga. Tyson Fury told Sky Sports:
"I got through my test tonight. Let's see if he gets through his test"
All in all, it was a good performance by Tyson Fury. It remains to be seen whether Anthony Joshua will follow suit to keep a mega-fight alive.
Even though a lot of people are now talking about the blows Tyson Fury took toward the end, and whether he’s really ready for a mega-fight against Anthony Joshua, I think he’s absolutely ready for it. It was a solid performance, and I don’t think taking two punches changes much about that.
