Usman weighs in on Strickland’s UFC pay dispute
Usman understands both sides as Strickland’s disagreement with the UFC continues.

Kamaru Usman is one of those who has already commented on the accusations Sean Strickland has leveled against the UFC, and he’s taking a somewhat neutral stance. He said that he can definitely understand both sides and doesn’t really want to take a firm position. He discussed this topic at length on the Pound4Pound podcast with Henry Cejudo. Kamaru Usman mentioned that a signed contract should be honored, since you have to sign it in the first place and are thus indicating that you’re satisfied with the pay. At the same time, however, Kamaru Usman also says that you can always be dissatisfied and that you should strive for better pay.
"So Sean’s not wrong for feeling the way he feels“
he said.
Henry Cejudo noted that he’s always been one to try to resolve such issues internally first, but also pointed out that he doesn’t know whether Sean Strickland hasn’t already taken that route. The question now is what Sean Strickland will decide to do. He should have come to a decision by now, whether to continue or if it’s becoming too much for him, since Nassourdine Imavov has been waiting for this fight for a long time and the only problem that remains is the pay. We can hope that things will start to move forward soon, ideally, of course, that the UFC will raise the pay a little. Do you think that will happen?
To be honest, I can actually imagine them adjusting the pay a bit by now. I don’t think they’ll let someone like Sean Strickland go for that reason. What do you think?
