Whittaker faces Guskov in UFC Sydney co-main event

The former middleweight champion returns to the light heavyweight division against a dangerous opponent.

The co-main event for the upcoming UFC event in Australia has now been confirmed. Robert Whittaker will officially face Bogdan Guskov on February 7, 2027. The bout will take place in the light heavyweight division.

Robert Whittaker recently returned to the winning path after suffering two consecutive losses. In his light heavyweight debut, however, he defeated Nikita Krylov in the third round with a clean performance. Now he’ll face the experienced Bogdan Guskov in front of a home crowd.

Bogdan Guskov recently suffered a tough loss to Magomed Ankalaev after stepping in on short notice. Prior to that, he had been undefeated in five bouts.

It will be interesting to see how this matchup plays out. In any case, the bout has the potential to set the tone for the main event between Quillan Salkilld and Benoît Saint Denis.
